Celebrations at Winslow - 12/10/2008
On Sunday October 12th, Bishop Alan of Buckingham joined the Benefice congregation at St Laurence Church Winslow in a special service. Local Bell ringers came along to help Winslow celebrate the Patronal Festival of St Laurence and the blessing of their newly restored 8 Bells.

After the service there was, in typical Winslow fashion, a 'Bring and Share' lunch . This mirrored the celebrations after the installation of the 2 trebles in April 1956 when 500 people attended tea in the Hall.
The total raised by the bell ringing team for the work on the bells, clock and tower access, etc. exceeded £60,000. There is currently a display about the Bell restoration work in Winslow Library until Saturday, 18th October.
Ringers who could not attend the service, but do want to ring the restored bells: please note that the Branch Practice on November 8th 6.30-8.30pm, is at Winslow, as well as their usual Monday evening practice (7:30-9:00pm).
To find out more please contact joint Captains Mandy and Di on bells@stlaurencewinslow.org.uk

You can view the bishop's blog at http://bishopalan.blogspot.com/ for the sermon he gave at the dedication - it's well worth the visit.
Mini Ring Comes to Aylesbury! - 11/10/2008
On Saturday, 11th October, Aylesbury will (for a short while at least) have TWO ringable towers!
If you haven't yet been on a 'mini' ring, then this is your chance. It will also help support Ryan Noble in advertising our hobby to the people of Bucks and surrounding area.
Ryan has been working on his Young Ringers' Award for a year, with the kind guidance of Alan Bentley (Aston Clinton). This is his most recent project, and would be a great way to support your past time...please do read on...
